AERODOCS BY VIASAT IS THE NEW PARADIGM IN AIRLINE DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT.
A TECHNOLOGY SHIFT IN SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE, COLLABORATION AND USABILITY.
AeroDocs is a document management system designed to create, distribute and view Airbus and Boeing XML aircraft manuals, plus internal manuals produced by the airline. Safety and regulatory compliance are made easy with AeroDocs workflows, tracking and content linking. Manuals can be updated in PDF or XML format. Our app enables pilots to find the information they require fast – crucial when quick decisions need to be made on the flight deck. AeroDocs consists of three integrated modules: AeroDocs Viewer, AeroDocs Distributor and AeroDocs Editor.
PILOT-CENTRIC EFB DOCUMENT VIEWER
AeroDocs Viewer is an EFB app that is designed specifically for the demanding cockpit environment. Flight manuals are accessed via the EFB Viewer during all phases of flight. Updates are synchronised to and from the central AeroDocs DMS whenever a network connection is available.
Designed specifically for airlines, Viewer provides an optimised experience for flight crew to reduce workload, remove the requirements for paper documents and reduce training costs. Viewer supports optimised search and navigation, bookmarking, multiple open manuals, linking within and between manuals and zoom. Delivers a common solution for accessing airline documents across EFB devices, Web and Mobile.
Viewer is built around the pilot’s user experience, with best-in-class design, functionality and native iPad and Windows Surface software combining to deliver an effective EFB interface.

AVIATION DOCUMENT AUTHORING MADE SIMPLE
Bring the power of XML – the next generation document format – to life in your airline and see how a dynamic document environment delights pilots while making manual management so much easier. The PDF format is a good method for digital presentation of a paper page, provided that’s all you need. The XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format document, on the other hand, was a more complex approach to producing airline manuals, but this is changing with new Web-based tools that make handling XML similar to using a standard word processor. Once generated, the final document output is similar to the PDF equivalent, but with vastly increased capability, including stored annotations and highlights. The beauty of XML is that it offers wide flexibility when you want to create more than just an image of the page. Mobile devices come in all shapes and sizes so, for optimum readability, the text needs to be flexible and flow to the device dimensions. XML responds. AeroDocs Editor is an airline-specific solution that is easily used by airline domain teams. No technical expertise is required to edit the manuals.
