Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 22nd July 2021) and join the digital aviation manuals and dynamic content specialists at Vistair, as they demo how DocuNet, their popular digital document management solution, provides over 40 airlines and aerospace and defense organizations worldwide with a single modern digital platform for publishing, storing, distributing, and viewing all key flight operations and maintenance content including OEM manuals, company documents, forms, regulations, and more. During the Webinar, Vistair experts using demos of DocuNet, will show how the solution digitizes and streamlines the often complicated and fragmented document management processes with a single company-wide point of control for all operational documentation, and how pilots, cabin crew and engineers can quickly and seamlessly access up-to-date, role-specific content using the powerful DocuNet App (online or offline), with advanced features such as: using revision resilient annotations, hotspotting, library wide hyperlinking, powerful search functionality, and more. In addition to DocuNet demos the Webinar also features a Viva Air case study outlining how the airline has digitized its document management processes for engineering and maintenance, ground operations, and flight ops content, including Airbus OEM manuals.

The Webinar is divided into three key sections:

  1. Industry challenges: Operational Content Distribution, Covid-19, Solutions

The Webinar begins with Vistair’s Business Development Manager, Charlotte Baker-Farage outlining some of the industry trends and challenges relating to the management and distribution of operational content.  These challenges have become even more pronounced during the Covid-19 pandemic as aviation explores how adopting digital, agile and flexible processes are key to long-term prosperity.

Charlotte will also explain the value of a single modern digital document management platform in solving these efficiency challenges head-on. Critically, as you will see, a system like DocuNet can replace multiple systems, and creates consistency in and control through its ability to input from multiple sources, including OEM, regulatory and airline manuals. In turn, this reduces costs, increase efficiencies for both admins and end-users and essentially simplifies the end-to-end process for all departments.

  2. Case Study: Viva Air Engineering and Flight Ops Content – Airbus OEM Manuals

Next you will hear from Captain David Restrepo, Flight Standards and Training Manager at Viva Air, as he discusses the value of leveraging the DocuNet platform for company-wide content including: Engineering and Maintenance, Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Company Manuals and Forms.

As you will see using DocuNet provided Viva Air with the solution to simplify and improve operational processes and to move away from using multiple applications, and, in particular Airbus OEM tools, to a single platform for document management across the airline. Capt Restrepo will outlines some of the benefits Viva Air are seeing, including:

    – Standardization and end-to-end distribution efficiency
    – Secure and resilient managed host and infrastructure
    – Scalable platform to support Viva Air today and in the future
    – Continuous innovation future proofing Viva Air technical content operations

  3. DocuNet Viewer / App Demo: Online / Offline Access for Pilots, Engineers, Cabin Crew

Finally, Vistair’s Chief Solutions Officer Wayne Enis, will demo some of the key features of the DocuNet viewer, which provides pilots, cabin crew and engineers with the flexibility to seamlessly access manuals and documents via the web and mobile devices (either on or offline), ensuing they have instant and easy access to the latest content at any time. The demo will include advanced capabilities such as:

    – Library wide hyperlinking – for cross linking between various manuals within the Document library making it easy for the user to hop from one related manual to another.
    – Revision resilient annotations – so employees can access manuals containing unique personal notes even after revision cycles
Hotspotting – access to 3D images within the manuals with the ability to drill down to different components and find related information
Temporary revisions – the ability to add a temporary revision or notice to the manual which does not alter the content and can be easily removed.
Advanced search – a fully indexed search across the whole document, including searching for common abbreviations, alternative spelling and more

The final section of the webinar will be a live Q&A where you will have the opportunity to submit any additional questions you have regarding Vistair and their DocuNet solution and the team will be on hand to help.
