Aero-Webb® New version : 5.0
2MoRO announces the release of the new Aero-Webb® version (v5.0). This one significantly improves the functional scope of the Fleet Management (FM), Asset Availability Forecaster & Optimizer (A2FO) and Master Configuration Hub (MCH) modules. Some minor evolutions, user oriented, have also been implemented on Inspector WorkBench (IWB).
On the functional side, the main improvements are on the event management function of Fleet Management building block. It has evolved into a real workflow oriented application with better data traceability and status tracking.
The user interface has been improved to help customer to easily link operational events to configuration or maintenance events. The search capabilities on events table have been enhanced with multi criteria (possibility to keep in memory these criteria) so that it becomes very simple to retrieve information, and get feedback on fleet data. Moreover, Failure, Malfunction and Defect forms are now available in PDF or Excel output formats.
In addition, data loaders of Aero-Webb® have been enriched so that it is now XML format compliant. For instance, FM is capable to fully import assets and events information from external information systems. For the customer, it is now easy to take advantages of the FM added value functionalities.
A2FO has also been updated to be able to forecast and plan maintenance of several aircrafts or assets at the same time, taking into account scheduled tasks (data coming from different maintenance manuals), residual potential value of LLP (through a usage simulation), unscheduled events (i.e. SB or AD to be applied on an engine fleet) and aircraft missions. The results are an improved monitoring of maintained assets (Aircrafts, Engines, and Modules).
Among the main evolutions of MCH module, we added our dynamic attributes management, making the attributes customization with virtually no limits. Several objects managed with this module (essentially those found on IPC and MM documentation) are easily user-customizable; to be sure that customer will find a way to follow all its data specificities. Moreover, illustrations, whatever the format (Images, pdf, or event documentation URL) can be associated to item data to complement Aero-Webb data information.
What’s next? The next version of Aero-Webb will be open to the outside IT environment, providing connectivity tools to marketplaces such as Aeroxechange or MyFleetRecords. It will also integrate the new A3 building block, dedicated to business intelligence…

AMT’s Flightman™ EFB Software Selected By ATR
AMT has been selected by ATR to add new software solutions to its Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). This new offering will remove paper from the cockpit and reduce operational crew workload by ensuring single point data capture.
The extended EFB package offer will include additional applications to record and compute key operational information onboard, facilitate the data transfer on and off the aircraft and provide a ground based interface for the management and reporting of EFB data. The solution incorporates the eJourney Log, eTechlog and Aircraft Content Manager applications developed by Ireland’s Aircraft Management Technologies (AMT) as part of their award winning suite of EFB applications, Flightman™.
The eJourney Log is an electronic version of existing flight crew paper forms carried on a commercial aircraft. It captures hours and cycles, crew information, fuel management, delays and landing information together with vendor services used. The application also allows flight crew to complete relevant company reports such as ASRs (Air Safety Report). The completed logs and reports are transferred off the aircraft electronically and made available via a ground based web interface.
The eTechlog allows the recording of technical data onboard the aircraft. The data captured includes de-icing, fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid uplifts. With the eTechlog application, ground crew can obtain access to real-time aircraft information, thus leading to improved process reliability.
The eJourney Log and eTechlog can be integrated within a comprehensive data upload and download process to get and provide valuable information to the airline back office information system. Upload and download capabilities are embedded within the Flightman™ package to interface and integrate onboard applications within the comprehensive Operator’s information network.
The Aircraft Content Manager is a web-based application enabling the remote distribution and centralized management of all content of the EFB devices. The content is transferred in an efficient, compliant and timely manner and can include manuals, flight crew instructions, charts, and navigational database updates.
Commenting on ATR’s extended EFB offer, Luigi Mollo, Vice-President Commercial in Customer Services, declares: “The new software available in the ATR’s Extended EFB will provide ATR pilots with the most modern tools to record and exchange data with airlines’ back office systems, directly from the cockpit. This will clearly contribute to ease their tasks and save time. As a consequence, the Extended EFB offer will remove paper from the flight deck and allow airlines to streamline their operational processes”.

Austrian Airlines Receive FAA Approval for Electronics Signature in AMOS
AUSTRIAN AIRLINES: ONE OF THE FIRST EUROPEAN EASA PART145 ORGANISATIONS WITH APPROVAL FOR E-SIGNATURE
Swiss-AS is proud to announce that Austrian Technik, the TechnicalOperations organisation of Austrian Airlines, has recently received theFAA approval for “FAA Operation Specification”. The Part 145organisation is now allowed to use the AMOS e-signature in thecontext of
– FAA Form 8130-3.
In addition, the usage of the AMOS e-signature solution at Austrian Technik has been approved by Austro Control GmbH, the official Austrian civil aviation agency, for
– EASA Form 1 (double release).
Austrian Technik is now the first European EASA Part 145 organisationhaving completed the appropriate authority approvals and operationalimplementation of electronic signature in AMOS.
ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE IN AMOS
An electronic signature fulfils the same function as a normal signatureon paper. It indicates that a person agrees to the contents of anelectronic message and it is a convenient approach for a fast and secure paperless process.
Since AMOS Version 9.10, the electronic signature has been smoothly integrated into all AMOS modules. Every printout can be signed andstored as PDF/A. Swiss-AS provides two options in AMOS for theelectronic signature: An external and internal solution, both accordingto FAA AC No. 120-78.
External e-signature: The external procedure involves services of a 3rdparty provider. Within AMOS, a PDF is generated and sent to the external signing software via a web service. A smartcard or signaturepad is used to sign the data; later, a PDF sheet can be stored in anexternal archive and linked to AMOS.
Internal e-signature: The internal approach is entirely processed withinAMOS – a PDF is created and the process of signing is handled only in AMOS. The signing can be performed, either with “official” certificatesordered at a Certificate Authority, or by using AMOS internally generated certificates. The location for archiving the file can also bevaried.
COOPERATION OF AUSTRIAN TECHNIK AND SWISS-AS
The basic functionality for e-signing which AMOS has offered sinceversion 9.10 was the groundwork from which Austrian Technik and Swiss-AS started working.
The goal was clearly defined: Developing an e-signing solution for component certificates which will receive the European and US American approval. Both companies collaborated closely to ensure the target was achieved one year later. The next milestones are to be ableto electronically sign workorders and shop reports.
Austrian Technik is using the external e-signature option which includes a 3rd party company via interface which provides the affiliated services and the necessary hardware.
The preparation for this process, apart from the development, wasextensive and time consuming since not only authorities but also suppliers and business partners of Austrian Technik needed to beinvolved while processes had to be newly designed.
ABOUT AUSTRIAN AIRLINES AND AUSTRIAN TECHNIK
Austrian Airlines, AMOS user since 2003, is Austria’s largest airline and takes its passengers to 130 international destinations. The flag carrier operates more than 80 aircraft including Airbus 321 / 320 / 319,Boeing 777 / 767 / 737, Fokker 100 / 70, Bombardier Q400.
