SKY AIRLINE selects AMASIS by ifrSKEYES
Toulouse, 29 May 2014: ifrSKEYES is pleased to announce that after a thorough selection process, Sky Airline has decided to select AMASIS ensuring its maintenance and logistics activities.
SKY started operations in December 2001 and made the first flights from Santiago to Northern Chile in June 2002.
Today its operations not only include Chilean domestic routes but also international flights to Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil.
It is the second largest airline in the country with 80% of passengers being domestic reaching 24% market share.
Sky Airline’s current fleet is composed of 17 Airbus A320 FAM aircraft and is expected to expand to 25 by 2018.
AMASIS solidifies the efficiency in the logistics process in order to maintain a low cost operation, and as a competitive advantage this will be translated to the customers in more competitive fares and improved On Time Performance, stimulating markets despite the rising price of jet fuel.
Efficiency is one of SKY´s “decision drivers” along with “travel experience” for the passengers, also SKY wants to be the market reference for “On Time Performance” being one of the attributes most valued by the business passenger, and with the highest standards in “safety”. With the best industry practices at the level of processes and systems supported by AMASIS, SKY is going to be a leader in South American markets.
Sky Airline and ifrSKEYES teams are working in close cooperation to define the deployment implementation that will help Sky Airline implement the best industry practices.

APG Integrates Air Support Flight Planning Into iPreFlight App
Aircraft Performance Group has extended the functionality of its iPreFlight app for the iPad by integrating a flight planning module from Air Support. The revised app is available for preview in its Beta version at the APG booth (6423).
Previous versions of iPreFlight provided runway analysis and weight/balance calculations without the need for an Internet connection. Adding a module using the Air Support PPS flight planning tool allows iPreFlight to be used as a “one-stop” for pre-flight planning purposes.
With the new addition, iPreFlight can be used to generate a flight book–a complete planning package that includes runway and weight-and-balance information, weather, Notams and flight plans. Such flight books can be prepared by dispatchers in advance with changes being made to keep them up to date as new information is obtained.
Aircrew can make last-minute adjustments to existing flight books to generate a new release. One of the features is a maximum payload generator, drawing on weather, runway and other parameters to calculate what is the maximum payload that can be carried for a specific planned takeoff.
Castle Rock, Colorado-based APG’s new app is free to account-holders. Customers need to have their specific aircraft data set up in the system before it can be used. The set-up process takes about a week, using detailed aircraft-specific weight-and-balance data, said APG.

DWI partners with AIR SUPPORT on RAIM
DWI and AIR SUPPORT are pleased to announce their new partnership for the provision of RAIM prediction to AIR SUPPORT customers. DWI has integrated the GNSS RAIM Prediction Service (GRPS) with AIR SUPPORT‘s PPS – preflight planning system. AIR SUPPORT‘s customers can now automatically calculate the RAIM predictions they need for their PBN operations.
Preflight RAIM predictions are required by the ICAO PBN Manual (Doc 9613) for GNSS-based operations and with the integration of GRPS and PPS, these can now be calculated automatically as part of routine flight planning activities for large airline operators and low volume General Aviation operators alike.
“The best way to obtain RAIM predictions is automatically during preflight planning. The predictions generated by the GRPS are accurate, fast and use the latest constellation data available,” said John Wilde, CEO of DWI. “We’re extremely happy to have integrated the solution with AIR SUPPORT’s PPS.”
“With the integration to DWI, AIR SUPPORT confirms the commitment to continuously supply the best flight planning solution with the highest quality and precision. We are very proud to present RAIM prediction from DWI, the leading source on the market,” said Per Jensen, CEO of AIR SUPPORT.
