Air BP ratifies Letter of Intent with RocketRoute Ltd at NBAA 2014

Air BP ratifies Letter of Intent with RocketRoute Ltd at NBAA 2014

Leading international aviation fuel supplier Air BP has signed a Letter of Intent, (LOI), with global flight planning business RocketRoute Ltd. The agreement was ratified this week at North America’s premier aviation event, the National Business Aviation Association 2014 (NBAA2014) meeting, held in Orlando, USA. This will provide customers with a more efficient approach to flight preparation as information about fuel purchasing will be available within the overall flight planning process. Under the terms of the relationship Air BP will work closely with RocketRoute to integrate information about access to Air BP’s worldwide fuel network onto their system. As a result the end user, whether it be corporate pilot, flight department or private pilot, will be able to access all information relating to fuel uptake whilst formulating the overall flight plan. The aim of the collaboration is to increase efficiency, save time and improve the overall business aviation experience for the end user.

The business move, which widens Air BP’s market reach, has been undertaken in response to international customer research that took place over the summer this year. The study looked at how customers interacted with fuel companies and explored means of enhancing the experience. It revealed that a large number of pilots and operation teams expressed a preference to work with a minimum amount of direct suppliers when organising flights. This new collaboration provides a seamless means of managing a number of operational issues at a single source so is aiming to respond to that request.

The first example of the integrated solution is being showcased during NBAA on the Air BP Booth 2020 to demonstrate how customers can establish which airports will accept the Air BP Sterling Card without having to leave the flight planning tool. Air BP supports over 600 locations worldwide with Sterling Card acceptance and the RocketRoute system will display all of these airports. As a Cloudbased information system pilots with tablet, laptop or other connected device will be able to access the information wherever they are in the world. This will be the first in a number of Air BP features to be integrated into the RocketRoute system.

Air BP will continue to explore other opportunities that will make life easier for the general aviation user. “We recognise that flight planning can be a complicated and lengthy process for pilots, flight departments and operations teams and Air BP continues to be committed to providing solutions to make the aviator’s life easier,” said Norbert Kamp, Global Sales and Marketing Director, Air BP. “We are pleased to have been able to respond to clients’ needs and believe the integration with RocketRoute’s platform will add great value to the customer experience.”

The company operates at more than 600 global locations in over 45 countries serving customers from the private pilot to some of the world’s largest airlines.

Air BP customers include commercial airlines, the military, business and private aircraft owners, as well as international airports and airfield operators.

Flatirons Opens New UK Office

As Companies Across Europe Seek Cost Savings and Rapid ROI from Enterprise Content Lifecycle Management Solutions

Flatirons Solutions, the leading provider of content lifecycle management (CLM) consulting, technology, and outsourcing for Fortune 1000 companies, announced today that it has opened a new office in the UK in response to greater European demand for enterprise content lifecycle management solutions that help organizations achieve cost savings and rapid return on investment (ROI).

Flatirons’ new UK office is housed in the Spirella building north of London.

With decreased spending and growth at a halt across Europe, companies are looking for smarter ways to operate, both in order to remain profitable and to continue to meet customer expectations. One area in which organizations can fine-tune their operations to achieve cost savings — and improve rather than compromise quality —is in the way they manage enterprise data and information throughout its lifecycle. Flatirons’ enterprise CLM solutions help organizations cut costs from often out-dated systems and processes while maintaining or improving operations, also delivering ROI on aggressive timelines.

As a result, demand for Flatirons’ enterprise CLM solutions has continued to grow not only in the company’s strongholds in northern Europe and Germany but also across the continent with customers including British Airways, Cambridge Assessment, Editions Francis Lefebvre, Rolls-Royce, and others. Organizations across industries are adopting Flatirons’ CORENA Suite of CLM solutions as well as its Digital MediaSuite and Application Retirement for InfoArchive solutions, the company’s EMC-certified solutions for digital asset management and retirement of legacy applications.

“Flatirons has a rich history serving the European defence community and aerospace OEMs as well as clients across other data- and content-driven industries,” said Toralf Johannessen, Flatirons’ EMEA president. “Together with demand for our EMC-certified solutions and long-term partnerships with EMC, Alfresco, Componize, and SDL, we are in a unique position to address customers’ CLM needs no matter what industry or European country they operate in.”

Flatirons’ CEO Geoffrey Godet added, “As more organizations realize the business benefits of efficient content lifecycle management, they require the right technology, the right experience, and local support to pursue the best solution. With the addition of our new UK office and established partner network, Flatirons offers all three to help European clients adapt to today’s tough economic climate.”

Flatirons’ UK office is located north of London at Letchworth Garden City’s Spirella Building. Its other European offices are in Birkerød, greater Copenhagen (Denmark), Kongsberg (Norway), Örebro (Sweden), and Frankfurt (Germany).

RocketRoute Adds eAPIS

RocketRoute Adds eAPIS

Guildford, UK — October 21, 2014 — eAPIS (Electronic Advance Passenger Information System) submission is the latest enhancement to RocketRoute’s Flight Planning solution. Users can now create and transmit the required APIS data directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and receive an acknowledgement via a secure connection.

Operators flying to or from the United States, are required to provide specific crew, passenger and flight information to CBP prior to all departures and arrivals to the U.S.

For International Trips, RocketRoute radically simplifies the APIS submission process by utilizing all of the pre-existing aircraft data and flight data already used for flight planning. RocketRoute provides an efficient passenger and crew management function that ensures the minimum rekeying of personal details. Overall the process of preparing APIS and compiling the data is quick, easy and can even be prepared and submitted using a mobile phone or iPad.

“RocketRoute is all about simplicity and efficiency. We are pleased to add eAPIS to our features list and to do so in a way that we feel transforms how operators, ferry pilots and private pilots fly into and out of the U.S.” said Ted Glogovac, Director of North America.

Future enhancements will include functionality to compile and transmit APIS submissions for Mexico and the CARICOM countries. RocketRoute already allows users flying to or from Europe to submit the mandatory General Aviation Report (GAR) to the appropriate UK, Home Office authority.

The new eAPIS functionality is available online, as well as through RocketRoute’s iOS and Android apps. For the remainder of 2014, the feature is being offered to RocketRoute members at no additional cost. More information can be obtained by visiting www.rocketroute.com or by contacting the RocketRoute Support Team at support@rocketroute.com.

Product demonstrations will also be conducted at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida. Visit booth number 3680.
