TrustFlight Announces Integration with FL3XX into its Leading Electronic Tech Log

TrustFlight Ltd. (TrustFlight), a technology innovator focused on digitization of the aviation industry, today announced the integration of FL3XX, the complete aviation management solution for sales, dispatch, crew, maintenance, reports, and management, into its industry-leading Electronic Tech Log (ETL) solution. The integration, enabled by TrustFlight’s Integration Platform, will ingest FL3XX flight data including flight, passenger, and crew information, directly into TrustFlight’s ELB to eliminate time-consuming data entry and associated errors.
“TrustFlight was founded on three principles—increasing safety, reducing risk, and ensuring compliance,” said Karl Steeves, CEO, TrustFlight. “With the integration of FL3XX, we’ve made the Electronic Logbook (ELB) process even easier so pilots can skip the manual entry and focus on flying. Additionally, operators can be certain that there are no journey log errors or overruns on duty, so compliance requirements are always met.”
With the integration, information already entered in FL3XX will populate in TrustFlight’s Electronic Logbook (ELB), reducing pilot workload by auto-completing required fields with readily available data. Additionally, as soon as onboard documents are completed by the flight crew, they’re immediately available to the operations team with bi-directional syncing. When the flight is completed, actual takeoff and landing times, crew duty times, or details of fuel usage are automatically exported into FL3XX. The integration ensures that aircraft records are kept up-to-date and accurate, which is often a challenge for operators running disparate systems across their organisation.
“We’re excited to continue our relationship with TrustFlight,” said Paolo Sommariva, CEO, FL3XX. “We have already worked with TrustFlight on creating an integration for their Safety Management System, TrustFlight Centrik, and the integration with their Electronic Tech Log (ETL) is a welcome addition for our global user base.”

SCAT Airlines takes off with AMOS

At a glance
- – A transition phase for a smooth Go-Live
- – Greater efficiency gained with AMOS Airline Edition.
Swiss-AS is pleased to announce that SCAT Airlines, one of the leading carriers in Kazakhstan, has successfully gone live with AMOS. This milestone marks the completion of an extensive transition phase, enabling the smooth implementation and running of AMOS within SCAT Airlines’ Engineering and Maintenance (E&M) department.
Although SCAT Airlines and Swiss-AS inked the agreement in the summer of 2021, the implementation of AMOS has gone through several phases and required meticulous planning and collaboration between SCAT Airlines and Swiss-AS.
The project began with a thorough review of former processes, rigorous testing, and extensive training programs.
As in every implementation, data migration is a crucial phase to consider. In SCAT Airlines’ case, the data was coming from various sources, which demanded significant time and effort from the project team.
Thanks to the determination and commitment of both parties, the AMOS implementation phase was completed in February 2023.
Nevertheless, to ensure a smooth transition from the previous manual and analog processes to the more streamlined AMOS processes, SCAT Airlines opted for a transition phase using both solutions simultaneously. Due to fleet reconstruction and other internal events, this transition phase has been extended until now.
The much-anticipated AMOS Go-Live for SCAT Airlines is now finalised and the airline is fully operational with the system. This important milestone marks a new direction for the airline, which can now benefit from greater operational and maintenance efficiency.

British Airways becomes the first UK airline to introduce two next-generation real-time weather apps
- The apps will provide real-time data from The Weather Company to pilots and flight planning teams to help better predict bad weather
- This new technology will replace manually produced weather reports, and forms part of the airline’s £7bn transformation programme, as it continues to focus on increasing the use of new technology across its operation
- The technology has been developed and configured to meet the exact needs of British Airways’ extensive route network, providing benefits across its short and long-haul operations, and will be introduced ahead of the busy summer season

Thursday, 11 April 2024: British Airways will become the first UK airline to roll out two next-generation weather apps, to provide pilots and the airline’s flight planning teams access to real-time weather data, allowing them to better plan and mitigate the impact of weather on any intended flight route, in the moment.
Currently, teams rely on manually produced weather reports that are generated earlier that day. With access to the new apps, pilots and flight planning teams will be able to assess the impact of weather changes in real-time to better plan and adapt flight paths, making more operationally efficient decisions.
The first app will give the airline’s pilots streamlined access to weather data from The Weather Company, offering comprehensive insights into weather conditions along flight paths both before departure and while in the air. Additional updates will utilise onboard Wi-Fi connectivity* to support real-time in-flight weather updates, further improving its functionality.
The airline’s Integrated Operations Control centre – the operational hub that keeps the airline running smoothly, will also have access to an app that – in the future – will work in conjunction with the new technology available to pilots, giving them precise information on weather changes.
René de Groot, Chief Operating Officer at British Airways, said: “It’s exciting that we’ll be the first UK airline to combine the technology of both apps, which will allow us to make even better operational decisions in the moment using real-time data. These applications represent a step-change in the quality of weather information we receive, and, in the future, will enable pilots to collaborate in real-time during a flight with operational colleagues on the ground, allowing faster decision-making for a variety of issues like diversion planning and recovery.”
The technology has been developed and configured to meet the exact needs of British Airways’ extensive route network, providing benefits across its short and long-haul operations, and is being introduced ahead of the busy summer season.
This substantial investment is part of British Airways’ £7bn transformation programme, as it continues to focus on increasing the use of new technology across its operation. Earlier this year, the airline introduced a new Electronic Aircraft Maintenance (eLog) system for engineering teams, replacing a paper-based system, which allows the immediate transfer of data from the aircraft to engineers within seconds, meaning any required parts can be pre-ordered to help to resolve issues more quickly.
Notes to editors
* Wi-Fi is available on all of the airline’s Gatwick fleet and more than 80 per cent of British Airways’ Heathrow fleet, rolling out to 100 per cent by the end of 2025.
- The app that will be used by pilots is called Guidor, provided by SkyConseil
- The app that will be used by flight planning teams is called WSI Fusion
