DAC International Signs Agreement With Thomas Global Systems
Dallas, Texas, April 4, 2016 – DAC International, a Greenwich AeroGroup company announced today that it has reached a multiyear distribution agreement with Thomas Global Systems, a manufacturer of flight deck avionics and special mission systems.
Recognized as a leader in the design, production and support of innovative electronic systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications, Thomas Global Systems has offices and facilities in Sydney, Australia and Irvine, Calif. Under the agreement, DAC will serve as a worldwide distributor of Thomas Global’ s pioneering range of plug-and-play CRT-to-LCD avionic display products.
“We are thrilled to be working with Thomas Global Systems,” said DAC International’s Vice President and General Manager Cisco Hernandez. “It is an innovative company that has produced high-quality avionics for decades and expands the options available to our customers.”
The products covered by the agreement, are designed to be drop-in CRT-to-LCD cockpit retrofit solutions that use existing symbol generators and EFIS controllers installed on a range of corporate aircraft and do not require aircrew retraining.
The units offer owners and operators both financial and technological benefits including reduced weight, power consumption and costs and increased reliability compared to CRT displays. CRT obsolescence risk is eliminated and allows a growth path for additional functionality. The TFD-8601 is currently installed in numerous aircraft worldwide.
