Ottawa, Canada (January 10, 2013) – Mxi® Technologies, the leader in aviation maintenance management software, today announced the appointment of three new members to the company’s Board of Directors. As senior executives with experience spanning the aviation industries and information technology , Glenn Leonard, Cameron Burr, and Dave Curley join current Board members, Dave Seibel, Kurt Larson, Greg Share, and James Johnston, in support of the Board’s role in shaping the strategic direction for Mxi Technologies.
Cameron Burr is the founder of JetCapital Group, LLC, a provider of corporate finance advisory services to clients in the airline and aerospace industries, including strategic consulting, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring. In addition to his active involvement in the development, acquisition and financing of, as well as consulting for, several leading aviation companies over the last 15 years, Mr. Burr is the founder and president of POGO Jet, a new generation air taxi provider. Prior to POGO jet, Mr. Burr was also responsible for Sales and Marketing at SBS International, the world’s leading scheduling software provider to the airline industry.
Glenn Leonard was the co-founder of CAVOK — now a division of Oliver Wyman — a Texas-based provider of air carrier support services with a primary focus on maintenance program solutions, manual systems, and air carrier mergers and acquisitions. With over 31 years of experience in the aviation industry, Mr. Leonard has an extensive management background in air carrier operations, training, and associated manual development, as well as expertise in air carrier flight operations, flight training, air carrier weight and balance, transport category aircraft performance, regulatory programs, and computer applications that automate air carrier processes. Prior to founding CAVOK, Mr. Leonard held various positions in air carrier flight operations including Director of Training, Manager of Ground Training, Ground Instructor, Flight Instructor and Pilot.
Dave Curley is the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Mxi Technologies. Since joining the company in 2008, Mr. Curley has been responsible for advancing the market position of the Maintenix software through sales and marketing activities, as well as through the evolution of the product. Prior to joining Mxi, Mr. Curley held a number of senior positions at leading information technology companies, including QNX Software Systems, Texar Corporation, Bridgewater Systems, and Mitel Networks.
