IFS, the Copenhagen based EFB Software Platform SaaS provider, announces that it has signed a contract with Uganda National Airlines Co. Ltd. based at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda, to implement the Paperless Flight Bag™ EFB platform solution from IFS.

The Paperless Flight Bag™ solution to be provided will include the Journey Log Module covering pre-/post-flight reporting, M & B/eLoadsheet Module with automatic Loadsheet distribution, Electronic flight Planning Module for in-flight reporting, Document Management and Library module as well as Chart Viewer integration which will provide the crew with a fully interconnected workflow. The solution includes the Back-Office System including hosting which powers the EFB Platform, centralizes all data import/export to back-end systems and manages status of all individual and aircraft deployed EFB units.

Incorporating a fully integrated EFB SaaS Platform, as opposed to stand alone (non-integrated) EFB applications, means that Uganda Airlines will get a highly desired centralized business intelligence tool covering all relevant flight data registrations for the entire company and which interconnects the required airline back-end IT systems in a common workflow”, Mr. Jens Pisarski, CCO of IFS said.

Implementation will take place during Q1/Q2-2021.
