FleetCycle® Material Manager (FCMM)
equips an aviation maintenance provider with the ability to easily implement high-level and cutting-edge supply chain controls into its production operations. Implementing these FCMM-managed controls into your production operations will allow you to maximize end-user efficiency while increasing your materials value, exposure and profit.

Material Management: Automates and digitizes all of your essential asset controls while utilizing your present integration points

Procurement: Ensures proper inventory levels are being maintained to avoid task-wait times

  • Materials tracked to the task card level
  • Accurate tracking of approved/restricted vendors
  • Purchase effectiveness, authorization, capture and display of all material purchasing information
  • UI displays cradle-to-grave transaction flow for parts in inventory and/or not in inventory
  • Clear, real-time status visibility of procurement transactions

Traceability: Tracks materials from inception to installation and provides a lifetime history of any part or set of parts

  • Automatic inception-to-install tracking of purchase order, capture of vendor-supplied information, identification of ordered part (e.g., part #, nomenclature, serial number, batch number, lot number, etc.)
  • Robust receiving process features communicate the availability of parts for use via status flags, matches materials to the correct documentation, and ensures materials have not been made unserviceable during storage or transport
  • Document storage system provides instant access to parts certification artifacts

Inventory Management: Provides controls to keep inventory levels at preset quantities, automates the ordering/restocking processes, and helps manage the key variables introduced by the needs of the aircraft operator or consignment materials

  • Financial mechanisms immediately tie the cost associated with the part (e.g., freight charges, special handling fees, etc.) to an aircraft, bill of work/work order and task card, when that part is removed from stock for invoicing and charge formulations at the accounts payable leve
  • Parts “issued” to task cards automatically adjust inventory levels
  • Inventory planning mechanisms allow provider to set/maintain base inventory levels and automatically notify purchasing for reorder
  • Inventory analysis tools provide specialists with the ability to measure what type of check inventory is being applied, inventory type, how supplied, reject factors, fluctuations in cost, etc.
  • Expiration controls for materials with expiration dates (e.g., sealants and chemicals) with reports, notifications and alerts
  • Automated tracking of materials returned to stock
  • Configurable tools equip provider with visibility to different pricing opportunities so they can selectively issue parts based on highest cost, longest shelf life, OEM price or a preset agreed-upon price

Inventory Control: Equips services provider with mechanisms to control the processes associated with the movement and accountability of its material inventories

  • Real-time Inventory Report shows current inventory levels and stock reserved for specific BOWs/WOs
  • Inventory Stock Target Report displays actual versus targeted stock metrics
  • Customer Inventory Report displays customer-provided inventory levels
  • Graphical user interface allows users to interface directly with inventories to request an asset against an existing BOW/WO, pre-order material in preparation for aircraft arrival, or tie material requests to specific task cards

FCMM also provides controls for tooling (e.g., location, tool tracking against specific task cards, calibration schedules, etc.) and for outside services (e.g., x-ray or heat treatments tracked/billed at the BOW/WO or task card level)
Asset Management Features: FCMM-managed assets are controlled at any system level and, depending on asset or stock number type, are automatically tracked per the specic execution actions taken by the user

Manage Asset Types: FCMM allows the service provider to control asset type naming conventions and enforces specific business rules attached to each type (e.g., force users to attach a specific group of parts to an engine)

Manage Stock Number Types: FCMM-managed stock numbers can be grouped into customer-unique categories per user preference and can then be enforced via FCMM-administered business rules (e.g., all rotable stock number types require a serial number, all engine stock number entries require an engine type, etc.)

Manage Stock Numbers: Allows the service provider to establish specific business rules tied to stock numbers and situations (e.g., authorizations, specific customer applicability, etc.)
Robust Material-ReportingMechanisms: FCMM-administered real-time reports capture and display the intelligence needed by management to make timely, accurate and just-in-time inventory decisions

  • BOW/WO Level

Key FCMM Benefits:

  • Improves employee
  • Enhances customer insight and interaction
  • Increases visibility
  • Enables lean process controls
  • Displays key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Provides historical analysis capability
