Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 22nd March 2018) to see a full overview and live demo of the popular flight dispatch, crew briefing and journey log software solution, skybook from BYTRON. During the Webinar you will see how skybook assists airlines and operators to make the jump from outdated ops and dispatch processes to a modern, paperless solution that integrates with other core systems, including rostering and flight planning, to provide one portal for all vital flight information and briefing data, including: flight dispatch, crew briefing, airfield situation awareness, weather, NOTAM, RAIM, flight plan, charts, documents, manuals forms and more.
You will also see a demo of the companion flight crew app, a next generation EFF alternative that puts all flight briefing information, the interactive OFP and the ability to record journey log data during flight, at the fingertips of flight crews, reducing to minutes the time it takes them to prepare for a flight. You will also see how to record actuals during all phases of flight (pre-flight, during the sector being flown and post-flight), providing operations and management teams with a real insight into the performance and costs of each flight.
The Webinar begins with a full overview of skybook as the complete flight dispatch, briefing and journey log solution. Then BYTRON experts will lead you through a live demo of a typical flight; from dispatchers preparing the flight briefing pack to the pilots receiving their flight data and ultimately signing off their flight using the companion App. You will also see some additional functionality and modules that skybook provides, such as Narrow Route Briefings and NOTAM filters, Weather and NOTAM alerting, Airfield Watch, and Planning Portal.
The Webinar is divided into 3 key areas:
- Demo 1: Pilot Walk-through of typical flight using the App
You will see a walk-through demo of each of the modules contained in the Pilot’s Tablet App, starting with the Captain accepting the flight, viewing data for airfields, charts and maps (including ETOPS), signing off the flight plan, recording of flight data forms such as fueling or de-icing information, recording of flight data using the interactive PLOG, captains reports and, ultimately, signing off the flight. You will follow the information from start to finish as the crew work through the App and transmit the information back to the ground in real time.
- Demo 2: The Ground Portal – Driving the Paperless Flight deck
Here we will follow the data back from the App to the ground portal for review once the flight is completed and signed-off. You will also see how flight data is integrated and viewed within skybook, how quick and easy it is for Flight Ops to generate a briefing pack, how skybook can deliver a global overview of all airfields of interest at the touch of a button, and how skybook can drive the transition to modern flight dispatch and crew briefing for a paperless flight deck.
- Additional skybook functionality
Finally you will see some of the additional features available, such as Airfield Watcher, which provides display of significant weather and NOTAM information for relevant airfields. You will also see an overview of the settings area which shows how easy it is to customize the data that is presented throughout skybook and a list of software integrations plus an outline of skybook’s powerful API to ensure all key data is transferred to the solution.
