Webinar Overview

Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 18th July 2024) and join flydocs, as they demo the advanced features of two of their industry-leading platforms: Digital Records Management (DRM), as used by more than 75 airlines, MROs, Lessors and OEMs worldwide to automate the process of maintaining and managing aircraft technical records; and Lifecycle Asset Management (LAM) to utilize the records and technical data to optimize, predict and forecast upcoming maintenance events, costs, and redeliveries.  Firstly, the flydocs team will demo the DRM platform, showcasing how the cloud-based solution provides users with access to their records online 24/7, with automated digital storage for all technical documents.  You will see how DRM can seamlessly integrate with many leading M&E platforms to optimize and automate daily processes, improve real-time maintenance status visibility of the fleet, and prove compliance, thanks to back-to-birth traceability. Advanced features you will see include automated document audits to pick up any discrepancies in documentation, so teams can fix them instantly ensuring there is no delay when it comes to prepping for mid-term inspections or aircraft redelivery; plus, how to create digital portfolios for each aircraft in the fleet using real-time technical records data. You will also see how the platform is scalable to match each companies’ requirements, so users can select whether, initially, they simply want to scan, store and search records, or are looking for more comprehensive asset management with advanced financial management features.

Next, the flydocs team will walk you through a demo of LAM. You will see how the solution takes lease conditions and technical documents and compares them against live engineering data to create digital comparisons, dashboards, and reports.  The demo will show how LAM can support users in optimizing asset management and maintenance costs to ensure they meet end of lease requirements; plus, a look at financials – for example, how LAM manages financial exposure and maintenance reserves with both real-time tracking and forecasts/scenario modelling to support agile decision making.  Advanced features you will see include the component and major assembly tracker, which along with recommendations on swapping parts and components, helps to improve asset utilization and availability, while ensuring aircraft are not returned with brand new or young parts.

Finally, in this packed Webinar, you’ll be taken on a whistle-stop overview of how flydocs’ team of engineering experts can support airlines, operators, MROs, and Lessors with a huge range of technical projects, covering the aircraft’s service lifecycle, from induction into the fleet, through technical operations and maintenance, all the way to phase out. From on-the-ground support and physical inspections to virtual or in-person project management and consulting.

The Webinar is divided into four key sections:

  1. Introduction to flydocs
The webinar will begin with a walkthrough of flydocs and its industry-leading software. Used by over 75 airlines, MROs, lessors and OEMs, flydocs has an impressive track record for helping airlines save time, maximize efficiencies across their technical records teams and protect asset value, while reducing risk of penalties. As you will see they have successfully managed over 800 aircraft transitions and their Digital Records Management (DRM) platform holds 575 million records, 22 million tracked components and upwards of 10,000 aircraft.

  2. flydocs Demo 1: Digital Records Management (DRM)
Next you will see a demo of the Digital Records Management (DRM) platform. You will delve into how flydocs automates the process of maintaining and managing aircraft technical records, saving teams vast amounts of time and resource. With digital storage of all technical documents in the cloud-based platform, users are able to not only access their records online 24/7 from anywhere in the world, but also use them to get real-time insights into the current status of their aircraft and assets.

As you will see DRM goes beyond mere document storage, the demo will show how the platform gives you the ability to create digital portfolios for each aircraft in the fleet or even support transition project management, maximizing efficiencies to allow team members to spend time on other critical tasks.

You will also see how DRM can seamlessly integrate with many leading M&E platforms to optimize and automate daily processes. Advanced features you will see include automated document audits to pick up any discrepancies in documentation, so teams can fix them instantly ensuring there is no delay when it comes to prepping for mid-term inspections or aircraft redelivery.

  3. flydocs Demo 2: Lifecycle Asset Management (LAM)
You will then see a tour of flydocs LAM software to learn how the platform transforms how users can make use of digital records data to reduce costs, protect and maximize asset value, and optimize asset utilization, all in a more efficient, streamlined way that doesn’t require huge amounts of manual resource to find and analyze data.

You will learn how LAM takes lease condition and technical documents and compares them to live engineering data to create digital comparisons, dashboards and reports of the end-to-end asset lifecycle. These features support forward-planning to help airlines optimize fleet maintenance events, safeguard against risk and financial exposure, and ultimately keep the aircraft flying until the end of its lease.

Advanced features you will see include the component and major assembly tracker, which along with recommendations on swapping parts and components, helps to improve asset utilization and availability, while ensuring aircraft are not returned with brand new or young parts.

  4. flydocs Overview: Digital Engineering Services (DES)
Finally, the flydocs team will provide an overview into how Digital Engineering Services (DES) can support airlines with a huge number of complex technical projects using a combination of software and technical support, both remote and on the ground.

This includes how flydocs can support customers throughout their aircraft’s service lifecycle, from induction into the fleet, through technical operations and maintenance, all the way to phase out.

About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:

Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.

The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.

Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
