Register to view this On-Demand Webinar (recorded 26th May 2022) and join the real-time data specialists FLYHT as they walk you through the future of the connected aircraft with a demo of their industry leading e-enablement and aircraft connectivity solutions, which provide airlines and operators worldwide with the on-board tools and the connectivity required to take complete control over their on-board data (QAR, DAR and more). As you will see, using FLYHT’s new AFIRS EDGE 5G WQAR/AID solution airlines can then use the data to enhance any operational analytics needs; from safety to fuel saving, from real-time aircraft tracking and alerting to predictive maintenance. Airlines have the option to interface the data with existing third-party flight-deck or ground apps and software, or with FLYHT’s own suite AI powered of decision-making support JetBridge real-time operational tools and Apps.
The Webinar begins with an overview of the new innovative multifunction avionics platform AFIRS EDGE – the 5G WQAR/AID solution which, coupled with Iridium Certus SATCOM, seamlessly flows real-time operational data during all phases of flight to the flight deck or to ground applications. As you will see, AFIRS EDGE is easy to install for any airline and on any fleet. Airlines can choose the solution that best fits their needs, from integrating the real-time data and supercharging existing Apps and solutions, such as EFBs or Fuel Optimization systems, to utilizing FLYHT’s own JetBridge AI powered software that uses the real-time data collection/download from AFIRS EDGE to provide cutting-edge real-time App solutions to support key staff with decision support data at their fingertips. During the Webinar you will see demos of three such solutions from FLYHT that utilize the real-time data to reduce fuel consumption, APU usage and improve turnarounds driving operational excellent throughout the airline. As you will see the AID unit also provides pilots with a useful power supply and critical A834 aircraft databus data (A717 and A429 sources) for their iPads and EFBs.
The Webinar is divided into 4 key areas:
- Introduction to FLYHT and AFIRS EDGE 5G WQAR/AID and Iridium Certus SATCOM Overview:
First you will learn about FLYHT’s innovative new connected aircraft technology approach that uniquely provides connectivity on the ground and in the air in every corner of the globe. This briefing will give a glimpse into how FLYHT has pioneered bridging avionics and cloud technologies breaking free from the constraints of traditional WQAR, AID and connectivity solutions. You will also see how AFIRS Edge is able to serve up data for any airline operational analytics needs from safety to fuel saving, from real-time tracking and alerting to predictive maintenance.
- FLYHT JetBridge Demo 1: FuelSense for Fuel Management
Next you will see demos of FLYHT’s solutions and Apps for actionable intelligence that can be used to support decision-making and utilizing the real-time data flow. The first App is FuelSense for Fuel Management. You will see examples of how the real-time data lets you track and manage eight industry recognized fuel savings initiatives that include: Single Engine Taxi, Reduced Flap Takeoffs, Reduced Acceleration Altitude, Low Drag Approaches, Reduced Flap Landings, Idle Reverse.
- FLYHT JetBridge Demo 2: APU Usage
Next you will see the APU Usage solution and how to gain real-time, remote situational awareness of all your APU usage and be notified of APU over-use as soon as it occurs, no matter where the aircraft is, in order to make real-time adjustments, saving significant fuel costs.
- FLYHT JetBridge Demo 3: Turnaround Times
Finally you will see an example of how to improve on ground performance and turnaround times of the aircraft using FLYHT’s innovative solution. You will see how key ground-staff receive real-time alerts when each flight is en-route, on final descent and at the gate. You will see how to track the critical above and below wing milestones in real-time so that you can take corrective action BEFORE you take a delay, and plan daily staff needs based on turns and staff qualification
About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
