*This Webinar is open to airlines and aircraft operators only
Register to attend this webinar to see the latest advances in real-time cockpit in-flight efficiency, with a demo of AVTECH’s cutting-edge solutions: Flight Level Optimization, Winds & Temperature FMC Uplink, Speed Optimization, and Hazardous Weather Alerts, as used by airlines worldwide such as Southwest, LATAM, easyJet, TUI, Norwegian, and lots more. As you will see, the solutions empower airlines to reduce fuel consumption, cut emissions, enhance flight safety, and improve cost efficiency, all without the need for investment in additional onboard hardware, and can be delivered to the cockpit in customized formats, such as direct messages to the FMS, messages through print, or via the EFB/iPad. During the Webinar, the AVTECH team will walk you through a demo of the solutions for a typical flight from Reykjavik/Iceland to Baltimore/Washington, from pre-flight to post-flight. You will see the EFB App in pre-flight showing the route, optimum flight levels, weather including turbulence, SIGMETS, METAR/TAF and more. Next, in the climb-out phase, AVTECH sends the optimum in-flight step/descent and speeds, via the cockpit printer, for the greatest efficiency gains in cruise, based on the airline’s selected cost index, actual aircraft performance data, and the real-time weather and atmospheric conditions.
You will also see how AVTECH assists pilots to avoid turbulence, actively monitoring hazards along the route and sending alerts via the printer. Next, for descent, you will see how advanced wind data uplinks are automatically sent to the FMC minimizing wind error and an optimum top of descent point can be calculated. Finally, you will see the powerful post-flight dashboard which provides detailed analytics for each flight, showing fuel and CO2 savings.
Join us for a simulated flight demonstration showcasing how AVTECH delivers:
- Real-time flight level optimization for the most fuel-efficient routes
- Automated winds & temperature uplinks to reduce manual pilot workload
- Speed optimization that dynamically adapts to weather and performance conditions
- Advanced hazardous weather alerts to help pilots proactively avoid turbulence and extreme conditions
Additionally, you will see a case study for SAS Scandinavian Airlines, one of AVTECH’s newest customers, outlining key results, and cost-saving achievements; plus, a business case outline showcasing easy installation, how AVTECH increases airline profitability from day one, and provides a return on investment within 15 days.
The Webinar is divided into the following key areas:
- AVTECH Overview and Airline Challenges with traditional flight optimization methods:
The Webinar begins with an overview of AVTECH’s solutions and a look at the challenges facing airlines when traditional flight planning and Flight Management Computer (FMC) systems often struggle to provide the most fuel-efficient and optimal flight profiles. Outdated weather forecasts, estimated take-off weights, and simplified performance models can lead to inefficient routing, increased fuel burn, and unnecessary emissions. On top of that, pilots must manually adjust for winds and temperature while also managing unpredictable hazards like turbulence and extreme weather. As you will see, the AVTECH solutions solve these challenges. By integrating real-time weather data, high-performance computing, and automation, AVTECH reduces pilot workload while improving operational efficiency.
- AVTECH Solutions Demo for a Typical Flight:
The AVTECH team will walk you through a demo of the solutions for a typical flight from Reykjavik/Iceland to Baltimore/Washington, from pre-flight to post-flight:
– Pre-Flight:
You will see the EFB App in pre-flight showing the route, optimum flight levels and high-resolution weather including CAT, SIGMETS, METAR/TAF, convective thunderstorms, Nat tracks. The clear air turbulence, and hazardous weather such as thunderstorms is clearly shown both in the horizontal and the vertical view.
– Climb-Out and Cruise:
AVTECH kicks in once the aircraft is rolling down the runway. The aircraft performance is now set so that the system now simulates the flight in advanced ground computers which optimize all phases of flight in real-time calculating the most cost effective, and safe flight plan.
In the climb-out phase AVTECH sends the optimum in-flight step/descent and speeds, via the cockpit printer, for the greatest efficiency gains in cruise, based on the airline’s selected cost index, actual aircraft performance data, and the real-time weather and atmospheric conditions. You will also see how AVTECH assists pilots to avoid turbulence actively monitoring hazards along the route and sending alerts via the printer.
– Descent:
Next for descent you will see how advanced wind data uplinks are automatically sent to the FMC minimizing wind error and an optimum top of descent point can be calculated.
– Post-Flight:
Finally, you will see the powerful post-flight dashboard which provides detailed analytics for each flight showing detailed fuel and CO2 savings.
- SAS Scandinavian Airlines Case Study, Service Deployment, Business Case & ROI:
The AVTECH team will then run through a case study showcasing SAS, who implemented the flight level optimization and hazardous weather alerts features in 2024. As you will see more than 2% of fuel savings was achieved with approximately 10,000 flights.
You will learn how easily the services can be deployed and the different options to suite each airline (ACARS, IP, MCDU, Cockpit Printer, Pilot’s EFB); plus, a business case outline showcasing how AVTECH increases airline profitability from day one, and provides a return on investment within 15 days.
About the Aircraft IT Webinar Series:
Every 2 weeks the Aircraft IT website hosts a different live Webinar, each Webinar hosted by a different IT Vendor. These sessions represent the perfect opportunity to learn about a software solution in a more informal manner and to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of all the major systems on the market, all from the comfort of your own office or home with no sales pressure.
The IT vendor provides a live software demonstration/masterclass of their solution and explains how it can benefit airlines, MROs, Operators, OEMs, Leasing Companies. Once logged on, online delegates can ask questions via the interactive sections of the Webinar or simply sit back and watch and listen to the demonstration. There are two sessions during the day, each differently times to accommodate all time zones.
Each Webinar session is recorded, and an On-Demand version is then posted back to the Aircraft IT website a few days after the live session to allow you to view the content again with your colleagues. The library of On-Demand Webinar recordings provides an invaluable reference source of Flight Operations software demonstrations from the World’s leading Flight Operations IT Vendors.
